This procedure will remove iron from your pool water. The following must all be accomplished in one day, or pool stains may result- therefore, start early in the morning.
1. Fill pool
2. Mix up aluminum sulfate with water
Dosage: 4 oz. aluminum sulfate per 1,000 gallons of water
To mix, use about 2-3 # aluminum sulfate per 5 gallon pail of water
3. Pour resulting mixture around edge of pool
4. Recirculate pool water for approximately 1 hour
5. Turn off pool
6. Allow flock to settle 4-6 hours
7. Vacuum pool
8. Turn on circulation system
9. Wait 24 hours before chlorinating
